Mary and Max

I do not know if this has been posted before and I do not care. I just stumbled upon this movie by coincidence and after seeing it I felt compelled to share my findings. What I want said is that there is a lot of garbage being made today by our "beloved" film industry and every movie that has been released over the last 3-4 years have been most and utter filth not even worth to have been watch from the beginning. In short not to reveal anything major this movie is about Mary and Max who are very alike come in contact by share chance, and a real well told story is born (it is based on a true story).

The Trailer makes the movie out to be a bit giggly and funny (I'm guessing to lure as much audience too the theaters as possible) but in fact it is a very gray (also literately) tale of loneliness and understanding.

This film is a must see for all people on the other side of the spectrum. And you will not regret you did.

This movie made my cry,... I don't cry.

*thumbs up, pants down*

(It's gotten very good reviews on IMDB: 8.2, but in the end it's what you think and not the norm. In this case I agree with the flock.)

It's because it's on The Pirate Bay, TP has a habit of being off line at some points (I just clicked the link and it found the page). Keep trying this link or just go to TP > Top 100 > Movies (first one top right in media), and it should be there.

I don't think I want to watch that movie. It just looks depressing to me.

I thought this film was absolutely beautiful. It made me cry, too, and I never cry at films. It may even be the first to genuinely move me. I don't think I could re-watch it though because of the emotions connected to it.

I'm not pirating it until I know for sure if it is going to tour (and subsequently be released) the UK. I know it's here at about 6 cinemas, but frankly I am not travelling 2 and a half hours to London to watch a film... Come on Cineworld, get hold of it :)

The Asian version of this ad got my attention. I happen to like Yen-J's music, and he is the one who plays in the background of this, even though I have no idea what he is actually saying. I didn't know about the movie until now.

I also thought that it was a good movie. It made me really laugh while parts of it made me sad. I thought it was a good portrayal of AS, although it was a little exaggerated parts of the time. I thought it was a good mix of humor and sadness, and a good mix of reality and fantasy. I loved the questions and answers in Max and Mary's letters. What a brilliant story! I enjoy watching something unique once in awhile.

Of all the movies I've seen that have a character who is identified as having Asperger's, Mary and Max is by far the best. I wasn't expecting much since most non-Pixar animation bores me, but it was just as good as anything Pixar has made. (Even better, in some cases. It's certainly better than Cars.) I wouldn't call it depressing, so people shouldn't be avoiding it for that reason, although it's not all sunshine and rainbows either.

I have watched it since I last posted. It was so good I watched it 7 times when I borrowed it from the library. My friend who I live with also loved it so we have borrowed it again!

This was our favourite part which we deliberately repeat to one of our support workers because it embarrasses her!

It did look quite depressing just seeing the trailers but it was actually a really good watch in the end :)
