I can mainly agree with the Star Trek ratings but I DEFINITELY have isues with the Pixar ratings. Why do people hate on Cars so much? I had fun! I thought the movie was excellent. I'd seen Superman that afternoon. It sucked so I just had to see another movie. I saw Cars and mankind was redeemed. I give it a 10. Wall-e was a little over the top so it came in at 8. Heres my take:

Toy Story - 7 (a little corny)
A Bug's Life - 9 (kinda funny, actually)
Toy Story 2 - 7
Monsters, Inc. - 9
Finding Nemo - 10 (I would give this movie 1000 if I could. It was THAT good.)
The Incredible - 8 (would've been higher but since they shoved that 'family' aspect down your throat...
Cars - 10
Ratatouille - 9
Wall-e - 8
Up - 9.5 (really close to a 10 because visually it's about the best looking movie I've ever seen. The story, though, was a little too...how should I say, Disneyish?
Toy Story III - 7 (ALL of them are way too overated - sorry!)
Cars 2 - ? (I haven't seen this yet)

We really don't need all these threads... They are basically spam. You really should just make a "Rating movie series or companies movies" thread where people can individual make their own best of lists for whoever they want to make one for. Because these threads are getting way out of hand and the possibilities for "rate this series or companies films" are endless...

It's because it doesn't really make any sense. How does a world of talking cars function? How are they "manufactored"? And it goes a little too far because not only are there talking cars but theres talking planes, blimps, helicopters, battleships, the cows are tractors etc. Also FYI Superman, awesome movie and Wall-e is way better than both Cars movies.

Toy Story (1995) 8
"Our shaders make everything look like plastic."*
"make a movie about toys with great voice acting!"

A Bug's Life (1998) 3
"Our shaders still make everything look like plastic."
"Okay, let's try bugs?"

Toy Story 2 (1999) 5
"People liked toys! Okay, give them more toys!"
Monsters, Inc (2001) 1
"CG is no longer new or cool, time to crank out a Disney movie."
Finding Nemo (2003) 9
"Good voice acting can redeem any cartoon."
The Incredibles (2004) 10
"Let's make a good cartoon!"
Cars (2006) 0
"Let's do an extremely low-brow Thomas The Tank Engine remake!"

After cars I stopped watching pixar movies.

*(This was the actual reason for Toy Story.)

Toy Story: ****1/2
A Bug's Life: ***1/2
Toy Story 2: ****1/2
Monster's Inc: ****
Finding Nemo: *****
The Incredibles: ****1/2
Cars: ***
Ratatouille: ***1/2
WALL-E: *****
Up: *****
Toy Story 3: *****
Cars 2: *1/2

I just realized, maybe the reason I was so disappointed about Cars 2 was that the last three films were 5-star classics. But that's still no excuse for making a film with the comic relief from the first film the central focus!

I think these are interesting, I want to see a dreamworks one next 8)

Finding Nemo - 10
The Incredibles - 10

Both of these are as close to perfect as I've ever seen in film.

The rest not so much but I haven't seen most of them. Rattatoiue was middling I think - maybe 7/10.

The Toy Story trilogy, Up, and Ratatouille are my favorites. They all get at least 9's if not 10's. The Incredibles and Monsters Inc. were very good too - I'll give them scores of 8. I don't remember much about A Bug's Life, and I still haven't gotten around to seeing Finding Nemo, Wall-E, or either Cars movie.

While this thread is a bit old, I found Wreck-it Ralph to be quite entertaining.
