Yup, the title says it all. For those who don't what this show is, if you're a fan of Avatar: The Legend of Aang, both shows are the same show, just different titles. So anybody a fan? Okay so I admit the show's on Nickelodeon, a kids' channel, but I enjoy watching the show. In fact, I've watched all episodes of the show.

^^ Yaye greetings ashmeister. I believe I very much enjoyed viewing the first series of Avatar: The Legend of Aang. However, when I found episodes at a later time, they were episodes at a further point within the second series and thus I would have not been able to view the episodes within order. ^^ Therefore, I believe I shall certainly wish to purchase some DVD series at a later time.

Yep, I love that show. I got into it when I was starting university, and I downloaded all the episodes and watched it from the beginning. It's an excellent show that I feel was somewhat held back by being on a kid's channel, as it clearly had aspirations enough for more. Sometimes they have to skirt around adult issues that I feel would have been better fully explored, but even so, the show has great writing, subverts genre tropes, has lovely animation and makes great use of eastern mythology and culture.

Did you know that a new Avatar series has been announced for 2011? It'll be about the Avatar after Aang.

NOTE TO PROSPECTIVE FANS - Avoid M. Night Shyamalan's travesty of a movie.

Yeah I've heard of Avatar: Legend of Korra. Did you know that Korra already knows Water, Earth, and Firebending at the start of the series and Aang's and Katara's son Tenzin is Korra's Airbending teacher? Plus I've heard that one of the villain groups is Azula's descendants and Korra's core allies is Team Avatar's grandchildren. Oh and you might hate this but Korra's a girl.

Out of pure reluctance to leave my house, I haven't seen the movie. I liked the animated version. I watched the whole series again a couple weeks ago with my sister.

I totally agree with you. And the best part is Korra's a bad-ass girl

Dude whatever you do, DON'T WATCH THE MOVIE! The special effects, fight scenes and the acting is horrible, and any fan who has watched the movie would agree with me here. Even KaiG will definitely agree with me here.

I really liked the show, but the movie... Horrible. Why did they not put in ANY humor? Best part of the entire movie was when a man in the theater shouted at the end, "Worst movie ever!" and they didn't pronouce their names right. Enough of talking about how bad the movie was now. The show was great. All of the jokes made me laugh and the plot was good.

I heard the "my cabbages!!" guy isn't in the movie. (Thus I am not interested in it. )

I don't think King Bumi or the Kyoshi Warriors are even in it.

It's hard to believe that they found a way to adapt it without any humor at all. Is that really true?

Not only that, but the dialogue sounds like a 10-year-old wrote it, and the acting and script are appalling.

Just take a look at a scene from the movie:

I mean, that is just god-awful.

I really hope that is just a particularly bad example and that the rest is better. I thought the trailers made it look cool, but that scene was atrocious.

Spongebob is the only thing Nickelodeon has going for it at this point. Once that franchise finally kicks the bucket, who knows what'll become of the network?

it also has iCarly and an upcoming spinoff to Avatar, but yeah I agree, Avatar is a seriously incredible show.

Hopefully the spinoff will answer the questions that still remain on fan's minds. I'm also hoping it will get better toys made, including one for Kitara, and one for Uncle Iroh.

I've heard not one good review as of yet about that movie, and that clip didn't do the movie any favors for them in any way either.
