I read about it in a psych book and had to try it for myself. This would almost do well here under puzzles along with the rubix cube IMO. Dunno if it would even be worth suggesting though.

I hated the Rubix Cube, it frustrated me. Not because I couldn't solve it, but because I couldn't move the parts quickly and smoothly!

Toer of Hanoi used to be built into Emacs text editor, don't know if it still is, but it is addictive and really annoying.
