Could you watch movies with neighbours' noises etc?

I just can't... one door closed audibly from underneath and I find that the 'zone' I'm in that good movies put you into is broken, potentially ruining the film for me. As such, I try to sleep in the day to watch films in the night lately (anyone else does this?)

(Mostly I... goddamn wish I could kill my neighbours... but that's another topic, as first I'd have to kill my parents.)

I absolutely cannot. I can't even begin to count how many times I have been in the "zone," enjoying a good movie or piece of music only to have my neighbors ruin it with noises. It could be a lawn mower, or their dumb stereo or just loud conversations or thumping sounds. I could then cheerfully kill them! :x :x :x
