I don't mind just wanted to share a story today. I mention what I record DVR Hannibal BONES and My Little Pony. She replied My Little Pony? I said yes. She asked what is it about running in strawberry fields? I said no and gave the morals of the family reunion AJ episode (family are your first friends which is TRUE!) and the latest Twilight Time (just because she's a princess/celebrity she's still your friend Twilight). She didn't get it. I mention the "Purple princess with wings" she replied. Do you hear yourself?? I said yes. then dropped the topic onto something else. I said "Purple pony with wings" and chose not to use names so she'd understand what I was talking about since she wouldn't know who Twilight Sparkle etc. are. :-)

I mention I watched BONES and Dexter etc. she said Ya those are for ADULTS!

Oh well. Shockingly she mention perhaps wanting to go to Comic Con since there are panels there of shows she likes but IMO if you don't like cartoons and geeky side of shows she'd flip seeing cos play LOL! Just wanted to share my story. (geeky side of shows she's getting confused by the show Arrow while I google and try to understand all the DC references.) :-)

I guess Dexter cutting people into pieces is ADULT as is investigating skeletal remains in BONES but I also enjoy MLP and other cartoons fine. IMO no different than liking Pixar or Disney films but those are more socially appropriate I guess. :-) LOL!

Sure is a lot of stigma about people who watch MLP. Even if you're an adult female who watches the cartoons and collects the toys and stuff people think that's abnormal. Walt Disney once said his cartoons weren't for children, they're for the child in all of us, why can't that be true about other cartoons, too?

On the other hand -or hoof- I could never watch an adult show where the main character is a serial killer and we're supposed to root for him, and I watched Bones for a while but I would usually wait until after they found the remains before tuning in. The exploding Santa and that body found fried in a dumpster of fat next to a fried chicken franchise were probably the worst I've seen. On the other hand I watch Untold Stories From The ER where people are impaled on tree branches, peeing blue urine, have live insects buzzing inside their ears, or basically look like they went through a meat grinder. Weird, huh?
