Time for me to make a thread about a cartoon I loved growing up. :D

So...anyone else watch this show?

Yay! 8) Let's keep this thread going!

Loved Launchpad since DUCKTALES--he and DW were perfectly matched.

Yes, Bushroot. :D Am I the only one who couldn't really see him as a "villain", at least not entirely? Those of you who know his origin story probably know what I'm talking about. He could very easily have turned to the side of the "good guys."

Bushroot was definitely not evil. He was, however, seriously disturbed.

Much the same could be said for the other villains too:

Megavolt: electrified as the result of a bullying incident in high school; now talks to light bulbs and appliances
Quackerjack: driven out of business (by videogames, so he claimed) and into insanity
Negaduck: just...Negaduck 8O
Liquidator: actually, he seemed quite sane (which made him more menacing, I think)

Yeah, Darkwing Duck is one of my all-time favourite cartoons ever! Definitely in my top 10. I'm glad to see I'm not the only fan on this site. :D

I always loved Steelbeak from the organisation F.O.W.L. He was badass, yet also a bumbler, and he had this fantastic villainous chuckle going. I also liked when they would pair him to that cleaning lady agent (Ammonia Pine, I had to look that up). You have to understand I watched the Dutch dub of this show when I was little, so they all have different names here (except for Darkwing Duck and some others).

I haven't seen this show in years but I do believe I liked it. I actually watched 2 episodes of it the other day on you tube. The one where he and his daughter compete against each other in a video game torniment and he and this Harley Quinn like villain were sucked in and the one where Darkwing's neighbor gets knocked on the head and becomes a crime fighter herself. I remember taping those 2 episodes on video and watching them now and again and there was that awesome theme song. They should totally bring him back somehow especially with superheroes being more popular these days. How about a feature length movie, animated of course and it should be sort of a reboot.

I'm just remembering now how important all those Disney shows were for me. DuckTales, TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck, Chip&Dale, Duckula, Gummibears ... I loved them all and they took priority over many "normal" things for me back then which of course nobody could understand. I had my parents tape record the shows when I couldn't watch them.
I remember how missing an episode made me feel really sad and ... anxious (?).

Quackerjack, more 'Joker/Toyman'-like than 'Harley Quinn'-like. Quackerjack's debut came before Harley's.

But yes, those are two pretty cool episodes, I especially have fond memories of the first one you mentioned with the Megaman-type videogame character.

Ah, yes, the "Disney Afternoon" block. :) That meant a lot to me, too.

Great. Now I have a medley of "Rescue Rangers", "Tale Spin", "Darkwing Duck", and "Duck Tales" songs and clips running on a loop in my head. 8O

I know what you're saying man. This is what Disney was all about...Animation on both the small screen and the big one. They should go back to basics and start bringing us these type of things but what have we got instead...a bunch of live action TV shows with terrible jokes, dumbass background laughing and the adults acting more like kids and the kids acting like stupid adults. Good Luck Charlie, Suite Life, Pair of Kings, Hannah Montanna, Wizards of Waverly Place. These are the pieces of garbage I'm talking about.
