What is you favorite movie ever?

Mine is "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind".

I can't describe what it does to me after I watch this movie. Pretty much every single warm, fuzzy, gooey, sad, depressing, and happy emotions you can have is experienced, all rolled up into one. That is about how I can describe the feeling after watching this movie.

Favorite scary movie ever is "The Ring". That movie messed with me for about a week after I saw it.

Favorite comedy is "Not Another Teen Movie". So many jokes in that movie, every time you watch it you notice something different, and laugh as hard as the first time you saw it.

And of course I love Star Wars (Return of the Jedi to pic a favorite). The last lightsaber battle still gives me goosebumps every time I watch it. My favorite character is Admiral Ackbar.

My favourite movie ever has to be 'The Princess Bride'-- the first film I ever fell in love with.

I'm not sure what my favourite scary movie is, because my dad's a horror buff, so I've seen a whole lot of them. In general, I prefer psychological horror-- I don't like the blood and guts 'oh, there's a guy killing horny teenagers' movies. I like J-horror.

My favourite comedy might be Ghostbusters.

I'm head-over-heels in love with 'Serenity'.

Hard to pick *the* favourite (it changes with the mood), but this is always good:

I love Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, too! I found the part with the blank faces slightly disturbing, though.

My favourite part of Star Wars is Yoda, and the big beasties. The human characters I didn't think as much of.

I generally don't like horror, which is a shame, as we're studing it in class lately. Although I did kind of like The Others.

I don't think I have a favourite comedy, although I did like Fifty First Dates, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and the series Spaced. I've yet to see Madagascar, but the trailer to that looks funny.

The Airplane! movies (both of them) are among my favorites.

One of the things I love about Airplane 2 is that they basically just repeat all of the jokes of the first film (they didn't even have the Zucker brothers and Abrahms for the film) but it still works!

To Kill a Mockingbird

Yay! Me too! I've seen it a half a dozen times at least, and love it each time.

I also love It's a Wonderful Life. I can nearly quote that one, yet I still see something new I didnt notice before each time i watch it.

I too like 'Eternal Sunshine', took me two viewings to understand the plot though.
(Noting the colour of Kate Winslet's hair was the key.)

Magnolia & Punch Drunk Love

Jim Carrey is much under-rated as a 'serious' actor: i think his performance as Andy Kaufmann in 'Man On The Moon' is a tour-de-force.

Wouldn't say 'Eternal' was anywhere near my favourite ever, but i would put 'Magnolia' close.

Oh, definitely. I didn't like 'Man on the Moon' very much, but the acting was good. I liked 'The Truman Show' and 'The Majestic', though, which are two other more serious films Carrey played in.

Yes 'The Majestic'.
Never heard of it, then it showed up on SkyMovies one afternoon.
I usually dislike 'family-entertainment' type films and i'm not keen on sentimental movies. But this seemed to fly under the radar.
Very refreshing, reminded me of a Graham Greene story; maybe 'the 11th man' i dunno.

But yes, a forgotten one: had a quaint sort of old-English feel to it (though it was probably a hollywood flop).
Well worth watching.
