The idea that it's the Kryptonian glyph for "hope" is straight out of the comics. (Also in the comics, if you turn the glyph upside down, it means "resurrection".)

^^^Hmm... That's interesting. I've been reading that there won't be any kryptonite in the movie, and that Superman won't be quite so super--More like Superman from the DCAU than from the comics.


On a side note, I read that Scott Snyder is going to start writing Superman comics. That might be enough to make me read so Superman comics.
