My youngest daughter (16) has just become a huge Dr Who fan. A friend of hers watches it and got her to watch a few episodes online and now she is hooked. She's watching it all the time and loves it. She's looked up some stuff just to look stuff up, and changed her background on the ipod and her account on the computer and all that. She Googles it sometimes and looks stuff up, and I know there are quite a few Dr Who fans here, so I wanted to ask if any of you would be kind enough to post some good Dr Who links. She's not looking for anything in particular, and mainly she just watches it online but I thought that if anyone had any really interesting links about the show, she might like to take a look at them.
She's the sci fi fan out of all my kids, just like her daddy. He loves Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr Who, and so does she. She's also gotten him into the Vampire Diaries and True Blood, like she is, and they watch that online together.
She's also just now started playing D&D with a group of her friends who have been playing for a whole. They recently invited her to join them and she's learning that game and they play every week and she's having a ball with that. I know nothing about D&D but I've always wanted to play and learn it, so I may ask something about that in another thread. This is the same group of kids that has the Dr Who fans. Strangely enough, quite a few are My Little Pony and Hello Kitty fans. I say "strangely enough" because I wouldn't think cartoons would go with sci-fi, but I guess they can.
Anyway, if anybody has any good links or sites or forums or newsgroups or what have you that you think she might like, please post them.

Well, here's the Doctor Who News Page...
http://www.doctorwhonews.net/
...the official BBC websites for the current series and the classic series respectively...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/classic/
...the Doctor Who Reference Guide, which has synopses for the vast majority of all Doctor Who stories (it's not up to date at the moment)...
http://www.drwhoguide.com/who.htm
...the Doctor Who Restoration Team, who help restore the classic series stories before putting them on DVD (some of the articles on how they do so are quite fascinating, and it's also a handy reference for what's on what DVD in terms of special features)...

...and the Big Finish website. Big Finish produces audio dramas and audiobooks based on Doctor Who, along with other properties like Stargate, Blake's 7, and Dark Shadows.

In addition, Big Finish has an official SoundCloud account whereby you can not only download trailers for some stories (although the trailers are all available via the Big Finish website), but also free stories! That's right! There are six free stories, originally released free with Doctor Who Magazine or Doctor Who Adventures. Just be aware that while downloading them is legal (it is Big Finish putting them up online, after all, and they were originally given away free with magazines), they are still pretty big sound files, so if you've got a small download limit, it might be a problem.
There is...
The Mutant Phase (abridged): This abridged version of one of the earliest Big Finish stories pits the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa against the Daleks.
Cuddlesome: The Fifth Doctor investigates killer toys from the 1980s.
The Veiled Leopard: Two sets of the Doctor's companions are about to come into conflict over a diamond. Peri and Erimem (a former Ancient Egyptian queen made for the audios) are trying to prevent its theft, while Ace and Hex (a nurse who is also a character made for the audios) are trying to ensure its theft.
Short Trips: Rise and Fall: An audiobook story read by William Russell, AKA Ian Chesterton, telling the story of a planet where time moves faster for the Doctor and his companions...
UNIT: The Coup: UNIT is about to hand over its duties to Britains Internal Counter-Intelligence Service, but a Silurian attack and ICIS' methods may keep UNIT, and Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, out of retirement...
Bernice Summerfield: Silver Lining: Bernice Summerfield, archaeologist and former companion to the Doctor, gets more than she bargained for when she is asked to investigate ruins on Tysir-IV, and where a Cyberman is the least of her worries...
Here's the SoundCloud page for the free audios.

I guess that this is enough to keep your daughter busy.
