They now have to make a feature film based on the cartoon "Captain Planet" have it directed by the guy who made the movie "Transformers"

For those who do not remember "Captain Planet" was a cartoon a group of teenagers who fight for protection of the ecosystem, each has some power over element of nature, and the combination of their power created the title "Kaptan Planet", short version.

Thanks to this cartoon became interested in nature and ecology.

Although I am not the type of environmentalist, if only I had the money I would buy the SUV, I like fighter planes and they burn a lot of fuel :-)

although it respects the environmentalists and their dedication.

As kid i liked Captain Planet i wish to watch the movie, and re-watch the cartoon

Captain Planet was a low-rent ripoff of the Marvel New Universe title Psi-Force - in which a group of five teenagers, all gifted with psychically-based superpowers by the White Event, found that when they concentrated on an amulet given them by their mentor (killed by enemies in the first issue), they could combine their powers into the Psi-Hawk. (They tried it once with six, after Tom Boyd (Psiphon) had defected from the bad guys and joined them, but the Psi-Hawk went insane; shortly afterward Michael Crawley (Dynamite) left the group, feeling he was a liability because he had trouble aiming his explosive powers.)

Captain Planet premiered a few months after Marvel's New U titles folded. Coincidence?

I have not read the comic, but from what you write here is "Captain Planet" in a some sense plagiarism. But even if it is still like that. At least It taught the people to respect the Earth.

I detested that pestilential eco-phreak. He is a Giaia lover.

I'm all for supporting the environment.

But Captain Planet was a naive series for a naive audience. It takes more than listening to his weekly message to make the world a better place.

Don Cheadle's portrayal of the character was somewhat entertaining. Turning everyone into trees.

As I watch the cartoon is a wonder of the intellectual level of contemporary cartoons.

I am a Pole, I'm 26 years old. Many representatives of the older generation says that the in Poland under communism produced a better cartoon, but that's not entirely true, the problem is global as environmental pollution problem :-)
This applies to all cartoons on a global scale, I remember as a child watching Japanese anime Dragon Ball , Yattaman, Mysterious Cities of Gold. American cartoon also had a better level of even mentioned earlier "Captain Planet" also watched "Denver the last dinosaur" :D

I wonder when will be the cartoon as it should be.

I think I'll taking career as writer i will be writing scripts for cartoons, or even moving to America to Hollywood, after all, the majority of today's sh***y cartoons come from there, I'd do something for humanity, I might get the Nobel Prize for it. :D
I'm sorry if i offended someone.

Who is your favorite character from "Captain Planet", i'm referring to planterians not Captain Planet itself

I remember they had a contest for a sixth Planeteer and what his/her powers would be.

It apparently never panned out, since I saw nothing about it on the episode listings.
