I'm curious to see what Spielberg came up with this time. The trailer looks nice:

I'm curious to know why they went back to a time before the asteroid strike. That would give them 20 million years to evacuate from the planet and under the constant threat of the dinosaurs, they might not have the time energy or resources to launch.

"Jurassic Park" meets "Stargate".

Ho-hum...

20 million years is a massive amount of time to prepare for a disaster - humanity has only existed for a few thousand years and we can already theoretically divert an asteroid.

That said, why not go back 50 mission years, when there are no giant lizards to hunt you down? More importantly, how can they travel millions of years backwards in time but still be completely incapable of blowing up an asteroid? With the same technology, they could send the asteroid through time to a completely different place, or some such thing.

Basically, this is a stupid drama and will likely be short-lived.

Stephen Lang is in this, right? Love him. He was so good in Avatar that I almost didn't turn the movie off in disgust. Unfortunately, Sam Worthington's horribleness prevailed. After he shouted "THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN BOUT, B**CH!!" at a big space elephant, I decided that I simply had better things to be doing with my time, like watching my cat lick her bunghole.

Unfortunately, I don't care about dinosaurs, so not even Lang's awesomeness can get me to watch this. That guy needs to be hired for a show that's actually worth something, like Breaking Bad.

I posted a topic not long ago about CBS announcing a new American Sherlock Holmes series. Someone get Lang on the phone. I don't care if he's 900 years old.

I'm looking forward to it, hope it turns out to be good :D

It was ok, I guess. Some parts were cool, but the way they introduced all those "mysteries" seemed kind of artificial to me. I felt like I didn't really care about why those petroglyphs were there, or how the sixers tie into the whole thing. But I guess I'll keep watching for a couple more episodes.

I thought Shelley Conn's acting was superb. It's like she's on a level way above the other cast members.

It was kind of funny seeing Stephen Lang in such an Avatar-like role.

I enjoyed it. It wasn't the best show I have seen but I will watch a few more episodes to decide whether I want to continue following it. It was fun although I think the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park looked better and I found some of the special effects to be fairly bad.

Yes! That's exactly what I thought when I saw the first dinosaur. Maybe it's because Jurassic Park used at least some animatronics, while this series seems to be exclusively CG so far.

Did forests in the Cretaceous look exactly like the forests we have now?

Too bad it was cancelled, it could have improved.
The main villain was a poorly written character and annoying.
Otherwise it was an entertaining fantasy/science fiction show.

I just clicked on the video, and all I got was a message reading: "This video is private."

Was a good show. I had some fun ideas about the ship at the end. I was super sad it ended.
