Dexter Morgan seems to have some form of ASD concerning his social interactions. What do you think?

I think in the early episodes he displayed some traits but could also be viewed as a psychopath. More recently he seems to be shown as neurotypical, but just had a bad childhood. Very interesting character whatever he is.

Dexter is supposed to be a psychopath with a conscience (whatever the hell that means) but he ends up coming across as a guy with Asperger's who kills as a side hobby. Dexter from the first two seasons is a little closer to what a killer is, but even that is a really big stretch. The character in the books is more of a killer.
