My school was showing it in the campus movie theater yesterday, and I went to see it with my stuffed dolphin, Dory (it seemed to me to be a movie to which you could take a plushie). It was made by Seth McFarlane (of "Family Guy" fame) so it has pretty crude, raunchy humor in parts, probably the most raunchy of any movie Dory and I had seen up to that point, but I think that as long as I don't act out what I see in movies IRL, she doesn't have a problem.

Has anyone else seen it? If so, what did you think?

Actually, I did watch Ted. It certainly is not my genre (I didn't pick the film). In a sense, it was funny with a few clever scenes, but, like you, I thought it was kind-of crass. I'm not a fan of Family Guy. Somehow I thought it mildly perverted the innocence of friendship. I guess Ted would be need to be viewed with a grain of salt, if you know what I mean. Hmm....

I'm not a massive Family Guy fan (i prefer South Park) and feel almost ashamed to say this, but Ted is very very very funny. The jokes and humour were crude, tasteless and downright hilarious, it made me laugh so hard that diet Coke nearly came out of my nose,

I wish I did. It seems like the kind of movie that would appeal to me, given that the creator or of the Family Guy made it. :D

I think you would prefer it if you enjoy south park more. Though if there are giant chickens, then you will love it if you are a family guy fan.

I never been bothered to see Seth MacFarlene's Ted actually, although I wish I did go see the film at my local theater.

I was going to see it; but couldn't justify paying almost £8 for a ticket. I have read mixed reviews about it.

It was better than I thought it would be. It was a refreshingly cute movie. It was definitely a stoner movie.

I agree! It's been a little over two months since I saw it actually, but it makes me wish that a possible sequel would get made already. :D

Ted was brilliant from start to finish and I will be definately getting it on Blu-Ray. Family Guy is one of my favourite tv shows ever. I have the first nine seasons on DVD as well as the Stewie Griffin the Untold Story movie and the Star Wars specials.

I read on Wikipedia the Seth Macfarlane is possibly going to make one. I think I would also love to see a Family Guy theatrical movie in the future and I hear rumors there may be. We've already had South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut and The Simpsons Movie so if a Family Guy movie could be made and maybe even a Futurama one (yeah I know there have already been 4 but I meant theatrical) then nuff said.

I loved it. It was hilarious. I thought Ted's voice would've ruined it because his voice is identical to Peter's, but it worked. I also appreciated how they wrote Mila Kunis's character. It would have been so easy to just make her character a total b**ch given the scenario, but they didn't. She sounded like a very reasonable person with very reasonable requests and had reasonable emotions. Female characterization is an area of writing, I feel, that filmmakers tend to screw up in some way.

I rented it from Netflix recently, and oh my God. If you think Family Guy is crass, Ted is about a hundred times worse. But it's still freaking hilarious. I loved Patrick Stewart's narration.

Ted is hilarious, I love comedies and it didn't disappoint. Only few of my friends liked it though!

Haha I loved Ted!

When you hear the sound of thunder don't you get too scared
Just grab your thunder buddy, and say these magic words:
F*ck you thunder! You can suck my d*ck!
You can't get me thunder 'cause you're just God's farts *BLURGH*

I've seen that movie with my mom and brother, and I had to say, it was hilarious. My brother and I are both fans of Seth MacFarlane. I especially found the Thunder Buddies song funny, and I like how Ted and John are big fans of Flash Gordon.

Flash! A-ah! Savior of the universe!
