So, if you haven't heard by now, Stephen King's Carrie is getting another film adaptation that will be released in October of this year. Here is the official full-length trailer.

I'm not too impressed by the trailer. They obviously took inspiration from the De Palma (1976) version (it's also interesting to note that many of those same elements were not even in the original novel). Still, I plan on seeing it, because Carrie is one of my favorite horror novels/movies, and I'm curious to see what they do with it this time.

The problem I have with remakes is I can't help comparing them to the original. Cursed aspiness! Some movies I haven't seen in 10, 20, 30 years or more are still fresh in my mind like I saw them yesterday. Still, I'm a freak for horror so you can sign me up.

Chloe Moretz might just pull this off......

It might be worth watching to see if Juliane Moore can pull off the mother character. But the trailer was not very convincing.

Did it seem to you that Julianne Moore's voice was a little demonic in the trailer?

As long as John Revolta isn't in the cast again, it might be worth watching.

Not really. She's a good actress but I think the original woman who played the mother was too good in that role for anyone to live up to it.
