Does anyone see a parallel between themselves and Bill from KOTH?

King of the Hill was created by Mike Judge, the same guy who created the MTV cartoon Beavis and Butt-Head in 1993.

Boomhauer is hilarious the way he talks... rapid delivery and the word "dang" 10 times in a single sentence, lots of run-ons, all capped up with a heavy southern accent.

I love King Of The Hill! I'm not as paranoid as Bill, but; with the direction the world is going, I'm getting there! With that train of thought, what exactly does a V-chip in a television do :?:

Dale is actually the paranoid one. Bill is the divorced army barber

Oh wow Chad  you're right!! Sorry! I still identify a little with Dale. I'll have to think about the Bill angle. Right now I don't see any parallel. :D

Dale Gribbile/ Rusty Shakelford is my hero!! !! !! BTW, the executive producer for King of The Hill Is William Dotreive, (sp) take that as you will. My only complaint about Dale is that he is too trusting of a person.

"King Of The Hill" is actually very good - amazingly so when you consider it was produced by the same bloke as the execrable "Beavis and Butthead". Its humour falls into the "gentle" category, and its no Simpsons in a month of Sundays to be sure, but I do have a bit of a soft spot for it.

I hate to admit this here, but I am becoming Bill Dauterive. The basis of the character is a heartbroken man who is obsessed with his ex-wife. I’ve never been married, I’m not fat, and I still have my hair. But the way he is obsessed with his ex-wife and is desperate to meet someone else to take her place….that’s me. The show is great, but sometimes watching Bill makes me embarrassed, or depressed.

I'm not as old as bill, but I can relate with his loneliness. He also seems to be a good candidate for a person with Asperger's. He says stupid things and does stupid stuff but you get the sense that deep down he is very intelligent. He also has trouble relating with people which is a classic sign of autism. I like Bill, he is one of my favorite characters on the show.

He's still pretty much in his world.

In Bobby's case, though, I think that is down to his being, shall we say, "untroubled by the burden of excessive intellect" rather than being AS - I've never seen him as a "one of us" character personally. Lisa Simpson is the undisputed ruler of potentially AS cartoon characters anyway, and don't let anyone forget it! :)
