I have been wracking my brain trying to find this illusion cartoon prop I remember from years ago. This may have been done live on a stage with a prop that made a cartoon figure move---as the live audience laughed. The routine involved something like a picture frame or drawing board where a stick figure like man---except rather than stick lines, he had a round head and body. He would bob up and down making himself flatten out a bit and then stretch out as he tried to move about. The routine involved a comic/actor talking to him. Some possible places I may have seen this was The Tonight Show (Johnny Carson), Saturday Night Live, or something like that. I thought at first this may have been a Steve Martin prop, or possibly Gallagher. I don't think it was on a children's show, but I'm not for sure. Any help would be appreciated.
