There have been tons of King Arthur movies and the occasional series, with many incarnations of the same characters. So which one is your favorite incarnation of a favorite character?

For me, mine is a tie between three Merlin characters: the one from the movie Excalibur, Sam Neil's portrayel in the mini-series Merlin, and, ever the Doctor Who fan, the Doctor in the serial of episodes known as Battlefield. :)

No contest here - Merlin from the movie Excalibur.

Although I do love the Arthurian legends, my favorite is still Robin Hood and of these, the TV series with Michael Praed is my favorite. Clannad's soundtrack for the series one of my favorites.

<--- Kinda leans towards the Robin Hood side of the Arthurian legends.

Even though the presence of suits of plate mail in 5th century Britain was clearly an anachronism, and ignoring the Saxons was almost unforgivable (as was the over acting), I still think the best Arthurian movie was Excalibur. Despite the errors, Britain is portrayed as half real life dirt and grit of the dark ages, and half magic. And the use of Wagner in the soundtrack was a stroke of genius.
