Anyone think that 'Heat' starring Robert deniro is the best film ever made? Its my fave film along with casino, trainspotting, braveheart and batman forever.


I enjoyed the film more than Shawshank redemption, Batman Begins, taxi driver, the shining, good fellas, the godfather and the Dark Knight.

The movie is given enough credit and should be given a rating of 9.0 rather than just 8.3 on IMDB. I don't think that Shawshank redemption or the Dark Knight are better films than Heat.

I feel ya.

Cape Fear in my favorite Robert De Niro movie ever and it never gets enough credit!

To be sure, I did genuinely enjoy Heat, and Deniro is one of my very favorite actors. He's great playing despicable roles, such as in Cape Fear, This Boy's Life, and Good Fellas. One of his best roles, in my opinion, was as Louis Cypher - Lucifer - in Angel Heart. And while Mary Shelly's Frankenstein was a flawed movie, DeNiro was an outstanding Monster, capturing the pathos and tragedy, and yet indefensible, obsessive thirst for vengeance of the character from the book.

I'm kind of curious to see why you think Batman Forever is a better movie than Begins/The Dark Knight.

Not that I disagree with you, just wondering what your reasons are.

Batman Forever was fun and did not take itself seriously like the dark knight or begins

Wrong. The best film ever is, of course, The Land Before Time XI: Invasion of the Tinysauruses.

Any credible film critic will tell you the same.
