Are there any Nashville-fans here? I LOVE this show. Actually it´s the first show I really like in a long time that hasn´t got anything to do with history and/or fantasy.
It starts with 40 year old country singer Rayna James (Connie Britton) who goes out on tour with teen idol and rival Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) because she hasn´t sold as many records as wanted and hopes the tour will get the sales up. Rayna is married to Teddy who soon becomes major of Nashville and they have two kids, Maddie and Daphne. Juliette has a very complex life history with a very broken soul. Her mother has been a drug addict ever since Juliette was little. Juliette doesn´t want anything to do with her but eventually meets her again.
Other characters include:
Deacon Clayborne (Charles Esten): Rayna´s former boyfriend, lead guitar player in Juliette´s band and songwriter. It´s soon revealed that Deacon is Maddie´s real father.
Scarlett O´Connor (Clare Bowen): Deacons niece and a singer/songwriter. She soon becomes Gunnars girlfriend.
Gunnar Scott (Sam Palladio): Singer who becomes Scarletts musical partner and also boyfriend.
I started to watch it because I knew Hayden Panettiere was in it. I became a fan of her in November (never saw Heroes) and she does an amazing job and so does Connie Britton.
I wasn´t a fan of country before but I really like it in this show. Sometimes it gets a bit soap opera-ish so I´m warning you about that.
I really recommend it if you haven´t seen it.
