I just pre ordered a copy of this film and I am aware that there is an extended edition on the way at the end of the year and I'll wanna buy that one as well. I was just wondering if anyone else was gonna buy both versions. When the LOTR came out did you buy both the theatrical and extended versions?

We did... when they first came out, we were still impressed with them, and after a while, we hoped the extended versions would have some of the scenes we missed from the theatrical release. They had a few. I'm less enthusiastic about The Hobbit. I've had more time to think about what he did to LOTR. I'll probably wait until there's a full movie set, years from now, if I buy at all.

It's still sitting on my bookshelf. I haven't seen it in theaters, and the Blu-Ray is just sitting on my bookshelf...

What's wrong with me? I should be watching it right now!

Oh wait, are you talking about the original?

Yeah, I've seen that one. I definitely agree with you there.

Are you talking about the old one or the new trilogy?
