AO3 versus Fanfiction.net.

I personally think AO3 is way better and I'm trying to find a way to get rid of my ff account.
Anyway, here are the reasons....

why ao3 is better

-lets you post song fics (fics with song lyrics)
-lets you post script or screenplay format
-lets you post fanart and fanvids
-lets you post explicit text as long as it's marked.

why fanfic.net sucks

-doesn't let you do any of the above
-if you violate that you can be terminated but...
-when you want to delete they won't let you
-the site has never been revamped
-no kudos/like/heart feature
-people only go on it because it's more popular*

*please note that I still like reading fic on FF, I just personally don't like to use it for my own work.

What do y'all other guys think of these? Which one do you prefer for writing/reading fanfiction?

I know AO3 has more options and flexibility for writers/creators, but I use FF.net for my writing because it has a larger audience and more vocal reviewers.

Yeah, I figured out a way to get rid of mine. I blanked it out then used a password generator and a disposable email address so I won't remember my login anymore.

Fic quality seems to generally be a lot better on AO3, too. It's easier to navigate and I like the style/formatting of the site much more.

One thing FF.net does have going for it though is that reviews/comments are much more common. Which means I keep meaning to get an FF.net account...
