.....they are stuck on top of a ferris wheel? I've been fascinated by this episode for years, and I've always tried making up some scripts of my own using the same situation they're in and most of the same words, but different characters, like people from my life. I just love some of the quotes, and it's not just the comedy what makes me laugh, but also the way they sometimes think things through about their lives. I especially love the bit where Richie looks across at the black night ahead and says something like, ''when I get back to Blighty, I'm gonna change the way I live. Buy myself a piece of land. Find myself a beautiful woman. Heck, maybe even raise some kids''. Then when Eddie pessimistically tells him to ''quit dreaming'', Richie says in a desperate voice, ''you've got to dream, Eddie! You've got to hold on to the dream!''

I've always just loved this episode. When I first watched it with my brother, before we watched it he explained what it was about, and I thought it sounded boring, just being stuck on a ferris wheel. But after I watched it, I watched it again and again, and now I always wish there was a film about two people stuck somewhere, could be an elevator or anything, and they argue, then laugh, then moan, then talk seriously, then think life through, and it goes on for, like, an hour and a half but is fun to watch, even though the whole film is just filmed in one small place.

What do you think of this episode?

I personally find this episode underrated. I love the interactions between Eddie and Richie when they argue during the "Keith McFrenzy" scene, always makes me giggle when Richie launches into his "common decency" rant.

I'm a fan of 'Bottom' and while I haven't seen that episode for some years (really got to get the complete series some day) I'd say from what I remember from it that its one of the best.

My personal fave episodes are 'Smells' (which is the one where Richie and Eddie try to pick up girls in the pub) and 'Bottom's Out' (which is the one set in the park) and I would often wind up my staff at my old care home by acting out some of the scripts (I didn't hit anyone though) and even now I can do Richie quite well.

On top of that what do you all think of the Stage shows? My best part was the 'Pants' song....

I always make my younger brother and sister laugh by acting out the scripts as well :D The Stage shows are hilarious, I saw the Weapons Grade Y Fronts Tour in Oxford about 10 years ago, was third row from the front in the crowd. But my personal favourite is the live number 2 tour with the Queen plot.

Hahaha, I remember this episode. Yes, that one is a classic though I think the pilot which was where they get the Feremones spray was my favourite.

^^^ :D

I also love the episode ''Break'', because I love the conversations they have at the beginning, especially the one about buying condoms. Also I love the way Richie is more agitated than Eddie, like when they're waiting on the sofa before their holiday and Richie tells them both to be calm, then suddenly yells, ''oh! Did I pack???'' Also I love the bit where Richie suddenly jumps up and yells, ''oh! Milk!'' And goes up to the fridge and just tosses a glass bottle of milk out of the window. I mean, what the hell was that for?

I love the episode ''Accident'' too. I can actually relate to Richie in this one, because he has no friends to invite to his party, and Eddie says ''I was going out tonight. I was going out with my real friends''. I would be lying if I said I have never had anything similar to that said to me before in my life. :)

And I do love the episode where they run the shop, it's just so hilarious. And also the one where they camp in the country, I believe that's the one what makes me laugh the most because there are a lot of sex jokes in it. And it's funny when Eddie shoots the dart and it lands in the back of Richie's head, but Richie acts really calm and politely asks Eddie to pull it out. And I love the episode ''Carnival'', where they talk about what they did when they were looting. They speak like posh housewives.

My favourite on stage one is the ''Hooligan's Island'' one. I love the bit where Richie makes up the ''guess which grain of sand I'm thinking of'' game. :lmao:

Ohh, what the hell, I just love Bottom, full stop. :D

"Finger" is my favourite series 3 episode. Everything about it makes me laugh, especially the "Ted Rogers" gag where Richie says "3-2-1" with the hand gestures and the blowing phlegm through his teeth quote of "Saint HEEEEE"

But Eddie flirting with the barman always has me in stitches :D
