Though nothing I can do will change this, I just thought I'd tell you. My mother blamed all my problems on one TV show one year when it's really medication's fault. Now, she hates everything that's even remotely related to that show, and I just think that's dumb. It happened right after I got suspended from school on 12/1/01, and I'll never forgive her for this. Sometimes, I hate my parents.

I think that it's dumb, too. This is something we can agree on. TV shows and video games don't affect people like that, unless the kid can't tell the difference between reality and fantasy for some reason. Parents who blame TV and video games just do it to find something else to blame besides bad parenting.

I use to be a violent person. I would hit and bite people when I was angry. That was before I played violent games. I no longer act like that because I'm more mature now. I play violent games and watch violent TV shows, and I don't want to hurt anyone, really.

Your mom bans you from watching simpsons! Blasphemous! ;)

But seriously what helps best is having a intelligent discussion.

I have to agree..seems like they're blaming cookie monster ('sesame street') for childhood obesity..now they're making him eat vegetables..that makes me sick..they'll probably end up changing his name too, those wack-jobs..

That's ridiculous - Cookie Monster clearly never actually ate anything, but obviously just broke the biscuits up and scattered them in random directions.... He clearly suffered from some advanced form of pre-bulimia of some kind, which I've only ever seen elsewhere in 1 and 2 year olds, and never in adults, so what he's being lumbered with is a little unjust.....
