It was some Nintendo Power game preview DVD from around 2001/2002. I must have watched the videos on that thing about a million times. I was especially enthralled by the Metroid retrospective that it had, which gave a semi-detailed history of the games in the series up to Metroid Prime.

I think my first DVD was probably Ghostbusters, although it might have been the first season of The Simpsons. I can't remember.

Couple of Transformers episodes. Cheap; selections of about 3 episodes per disc, not collecting full seasons or anything like that. Still, I was over the moon with them, as I hadn't seen the original Transformers cartoon in 7 years or so.
