I'm a fan. I liked the first season best. Have you been to New Orleans?

I wish! I love the series for the flavour of it gives. New Orleans might have it's problems, but the city and its culture is beautiful.

I like to feel close to New Orleans by reading nola.com
It used to be a lot better before they sold the Times-Picayune/nola.com, when the newspaper was local. Now, it is just a vehicle to make money for the corporate world.

Like right now, nola.com has an article: "jurors go home without reaching a verdict in case of David Warren, ex-cop who shot Henry Glover".

Under "entertainment", there is a section just for "Treme" (the hbo series). They explain every little thing in each episode. Before they sold the newspaper, there was a section for comments on the series. Oh, it was great. It may still be there for season one, two and maybe three. They have it now, but when I looked, there was only 1 comment. There used to be pages of comments from locals and people who had never been there.

I always like the nola articles as well. Got introduced to them through Sepinwall. Ever been yourself? To New Orleans that is.

I looked up Sepinwall. That sounds very interesting as I am really into certain shows. I see he writes for the Star-Ledger, Tony Soprano's newspaper.

My daughter lived in New Orleans about a year before Katrina. I would visit her. After she moved, we went back to visit NOLA. Good memories. Like San Francisco, I left some of my heart there.
