Does anyone have a film they like to watch but would also like to change?

I have a film called The Island with Ewen McGregor and Scarlet Johansen. I like the film up until about fifteen minutes before the end and wish they had decided to chop the end off before release. I think it would have been more interesting if it was an open ended film but instead the hero's go back to the place they were held and release all their co-captives and it is all a bit cliche.

I would have changed Prometheus to not have anything at all to do with the Alien films.

I would have changed Return of the Jedi so that Darth Vader doesn't save Luke at the end because the Emperor stops him from throwing him down the shaft. Then the Emperor tries to destroy Vader while Luke is recovering on the floor and just as Vader is about to be killed Luke gets up and destroys the Emperor. Because that way would fit in with what Vader tells Luke at the end of ESB - "Luke, you can destroy the Emperor, he has foreseen it."

Anyone else have films they want changing?

I would change Edward Scissorhands by making it so that Joyce doesn't lie about Edward after he runs away from her and then ruin everything with her lie.

I would change Forrest Gump by making it so that Jenny doesn't keep disappearinh from Forrest's life, especially the part where she waits three years to tell him they have a child together.

Prometheus is connected to Aliens?

I would change the end of Looper. I wanted Bruce Willis to kill that annoying kid and get his life back.

I would change Prometheus by having it actually written by the original writers of Alien.
That was the major failing of Prometheus. It may have had the original director, but it had completely different writers.
It was the writing that made that movie bad.

I would change Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen by removing the Fallen plot, the stupid screaming and inane toilet humour, the racist twins and pointless globe trotting.

I would replace the aforementioned problems with a darker plot, and have Megatron stay dead while Starscream tries to lead a small unit in revenge on the Autobots while concealing his true intentions to lead.

These really would make the originals better.

1. Titanic (Recast the iceberg with a Cthulhu instead.)
2. Gone with the wind. (Replace Union soldiers with Zombies.) Sorta obvious...
3. Sharknado (I'd replace Tara Reid with Dame Judi Dench, and make the Tornado an avalanche...or Sharkalanche!)
4. Schindler's List (Plot would be improved by making him a Ninja fighting the Reich with Jack Black as a funny sidekick.)
5. Roots (Drop the slavery plotline and make it about Robots.)
6. It's a wonderful life (Replace the Angel with a Demons trying to earn his horns.)
7. Abraham Lincoln ( Why does he have to be a white actor....Admit it Samuel Jackson would have been a better/more fun Lincoln)
8. Planet of the Apes (Replace apes with sentient monkeys who settle issues by flinging feces.)
9. Home Alone (Replace the home invaders with Micheal Jackson trying to get in. The movie would have been way funnier.)
10.The View (Replace all the ladies with ham sandwiches )

Shane Acker's 9 - I would make it so that all the

Spike Jonze's Where the Wild Things Are - I would make it so that Max would have left the monsters in better shape (emotionally speaking) by the time he left, instead of leaving them the same or even worse off. I would have also given it a stronger closing scene, instead of the ending shot

just being a couple of minutes of Max staring at his sleeping mother.

Disney/Pixar's Brave - I would remove most or all the humorous elements, give it about a half hour more running time and a subplot or two, and make Merida be the one

I was an extra in that movie with Ewan and Scarlett.

for this movie...i would have rose keep the ax, instead of throw it away... or instead of them doin it in the car, it should have been in one of the lifeboats.

another movie i would change...The Last Airbender. stick with the way they said the names in the cartoon...and make Sokka the comedic dude that he was supposed to be. also the end. instead of a giant wave to save the day, would have been a giant water monster!

I'm a big fan of the first "Crow" film starring Brandon Lee, and in my opinion, the only sequel with any potential was the third one, "Salvation".

I love the core story about a young man framed and executed for murder, who teams up with his beloved's sister to track down those responsible...but so much of the film's a horrible mess. So much of the content is gratuitous, especially at the strip club and the villain's taxidermy room. I also think the murder flashbacks went on too long in some scenes, and the language was overdone on the whole as well.

Eric Mabius gave an excellent performance as main character Alex Corvis, while Kirsten Dunst was very believable as Erin Randall. Jodi-Lyn O'Keefe played the murder victim Lauren Randall, and her death scene was so emotional I couldn't stand it sometimes.

I've been wanting to do a fan edit of this film for several years; hopefully, I can get around to it before the coming summer.

+1 million! :thumleft:

What they did in the re-release was blasphemy.
Han shooting first is what made the character so cool.

The game show scenes from Magnolia would make an excellent satire or black comedy in the vein of Network. That's a movie I would have loved to see, but no... Paul Thomas Anderson had three hours worth of stories to tell instead of one good one.

Yeah, I would change a lot about that movie. I was so disappointed by it.

I think the end of X Men 2 needs changing so that instead of Dr Jean Grey controlling the flow of water, iceman freezes the water that bursts from the dam and saves the ship. I think that would have been more realistic. The ending they did was over dramatic.
