I hear that people are mixed about her playing Wonder Woman in the upcoming Superman vs Batman movie but the thing is ...I have no idea who this woman is. All I know is that she was in the Fast and Furious movies which I've never seen minus the first one. So to be fair I'm neither happy nor unhappy about her playing Wonder Woman. The only thing that made me happy was that Wonder Woman (despite who plays her) is even in the movie.

The opinion of one internet reviewer.

For me, I give her some benefit since bulking up is a possibility and that's ultimately the only way Gadot can look like Wonder Woman since Wonder Woman is a really buff Amazon.

I'm surprised they went with an unknown for such a high profile person as Wonder Woman. I think Kaley Cuoco would've made a good WW. Anyway, the big wigs in Hollywood must have their reasons.

Maybe the same reasons that Ben Affleck got to be Batman now.

I wonder why they didn't pick Tricia Helfer as Wonder Woman.

IMO, she has that "powerful" look which would be suitable for Wonder Woman. She's also slightly taller than Gal Gadot.

And then the producers could rely on Tricia Helfer's entire Battlestar Galactica, Mass Effect and StarCraft fanbase to show up at the cinema.

... however, if they plan to create a stand-alone Wonder Woman movie at a later date, Gal Gadot (age 28) has an age advantage compared to Tricia Helfer (age 39)...

... Oh, well...

Gina Carano should of been Wonder Woman, she's a fitness model AND a mixed marital arts expert. She has that Amazonian look and legitimately looks like she could kick anybody's arse, just look at her Fast and Furious 6 fight with Michelle Rodriguez. You wouldn't want to mess with her, would you?

Another good choice would be Gemma Arterton.

I heard Beyonce had expressed some interest in playing Wonder Woman a while back. At least she'd have had a voluptuous body like Wonder Woman for most of her life in comics had been portrayed as having. Hey, they're talking about a black Lex Luthor.

I think people would flip their lids at a Beyonce-based Wonder Woman.

I'm so freakin tired of Beyonce.
It would cheapen the character to go with someone so trendy.

But Gal Gadot... mmmmmmm, yes! :D :D :D

^^^ Nice!

If we're gonna have a black Wonder Woman, I vote Gina Torres, but she's even older than Tricia Helfer.

PS

In a pre MOS promo comic they pretty much establish that Kara Zor-El is already on earth. I'm betting she was in the open stasis pod on the scout ship.

So, who would make a good Supergirl?

I kinda didn't like Gal Gadot being cast as Wonder Woman because we've seen her in Fast and Furious and I don't think any other movie, but I think we should see how she will do with the role.

I prefer Alexandra Daddario (from Percy Jackson) as Wonder Woman, she's got the acting chops and looks.

Gal's performance in the "Fast" series showed she can be sexy without going slu*ty, and has no problem keeping up with all the men in those movies. Her character was brave yet sacrificial, honorable and loyal to a fault. To me, that's the essence of someone like Diana Prince. I don't want a version of Wonder Woman who's "all boobs and no brain", or hates men like some radical feminist pyscho. There needs to be a carefully-struck balance between warrior and woman.
