This has likely already been posted, but I enjoyed it so thought I would share it anyway, just in case:

Hahahaha
"and the other day when someone on the street asked me for directions to the beach, I said, "No thank you," because being awkward means finding new and exciting ways to say the wrong thing, always always always."
someone like me!! I am a master of saying the wrong thing for everything, like "my birthday was yesterday" "thank you".

seriously now I like the last part where he says extroverts think introverts are just waiting to be rescued. Like we wanted the life of an extrovert but we just can't make enough friends so we can go to a night club and get drunk and have fun. Yaaay!... Just no. Someone has to tell those egocentric extroverts people DON'T want to be like them. Maybe when we were insecure high school students, but that was because of sheer social pressure! When we mature we learn we don't have to be what people expect us to be so screw that! Same with gender roles, money etc

Read this a while ago, still can't disagree with this, specifically #1. I never needed to be rescued, I did just fine by not trying to be the life of the party.

I'm not sure if I'm what most people would call "awkward", even in the movies. I'll have to ask someone I know when I get the chance, like my mother or social worker. I once asked my social worker if she thought I didn't have empathy, and she said not only did I have empathy but I could be too emphatic sometimes, to the point where I dwell on it for days or even months.

Long bouts of silence between conversation and strange pauses are part of what I would consider awkward.
