Does anyone else here see the American ME-TV network (Memorable Entertainment) ?
It's a retro-reruns channel , essentially all reruns of old TV shows from the past , more or less 50s into early 80s - more 60s/70s however . They re-run much much much much much old stuff that folks who watched TV during that area would remember .
They ` often , not always ` run minimal commercials during their shows , so I suppose those shows may be non-edited , full length as they were shown originally ~ N wful lot of what commercials they DO have a re a little ` Uh , embarassedly  ~ " aimed at older people " , lemme tell ya ! !! !! !! !! ! :P !

Yep. I do watch it sometimes. ROCKFORD FILES, the original STAR TREK, WELCOME BACK KOTTER...all shows I am quite happy to see again.

I just wish they'd pick up THE A-TEAM--then I'd be watching it much more often. :D

Most definitely, especially for the Original Hawaii Five-Oh, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Dragnet, Adam-12, Emergency!, The Rifleman, MASH and Alfred Hitchcock. (The local affiliate here, WGCB-TV, pre-empt the lineup starting at 8PM ET until 1:00AM to run informercials and religious programming. The also completely pre-empt the entire Sunday Schedule to run religious programming. They also substitute Everybody Loves Raymond for Emergency! On their entire schedule, for some obscure reason (Personally, I don't care for Ray Romano, as he is not the least bit funny.)

I do also watch Retro-TV and Antenna TV, since Retro (when I can get past the constant barrage of Autism Speaks commercials) holds the rights to Hopalong Cassidy, The Cisco Kid, Highway to Heaven, and The Saint, as well as DaVinci's Inquest, and Antenna TV, runs Jack Benny, George Burns and Gracie Allen, Bachelor Father, Father Knows Best, Phil Silvers as SGT Bilko, Dennis the Menace, and Rin Tin Tin.

...Do you get the Saturday night fantasy block of Wonder Woman , Batman , Svengoolie , etc. ???????????
Is your station that carries it a " regular " TV station , not a " digital extra " ( " .1 ") one ???
More later .

Unfortunately, no. WGCB runs informercials and religious programming from 8:00PM to Midnight Monday through Saturday. GCB in WGCB stands for God, Country and Bible. Even though the Norris estate no longer owns and manages the station, WGCB-TV is still a religious broadcaster.

The only full-time METV station close to this area is WBAL-TV 11.2 in Bawlmore (Baltimore, for those that don't speak the Baltimore dialect, hon.). Comcast in this area only handles WBAL-TV 11.1(NBC affiliate. Don't ask my why, as their parent company, Hearst Broadcasting, also owns WGAL-TV in Lancaster, PA, which is also an NBC affiliate). The only areas in York county that may even have 11.2 on cable are areas served by Armstrong cable (mostly around Delta, PA/Cardiff, MD and the Mason-Dixon Line. As far as I can tell, nether DirectTV or Dish Network handle any of the Baltimore stations in this area.

Just watched the following:

ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR
THE FUGITIVE
THE NAKED CITY
PETER GUNN

I had to make myself turn off the TV--otherwise, I'd be up all night.

NAKED CITY reminded me of the original LAW AND ORDER--wonder if Dick Wolf got some inspiration way back when?

Hey, I'm from Bawlmer, Hon!! LOL

Here's the ones I watch:

Gunsmoke
Bonanza
Star Trek
Gilligan's Island
Big Valley
Mary Tyler Moore
H.R. Puffenstuff

Yeah, we get the Saturday night fantasy block of "Wonder Woman", and "Batman"----I don't know about "Svengoolie" (I don't think I've ever heard of THAT one).

I didn't know they had "Welcome Back, Kotter".

I don't have Cable, but I sure do like the sound of that "Antenna TV" channel.

"Svengoolie" consists of showings of old B-horror movies, with "wraparound" segments featuring someone dressed as a campy horror show host. :)

...Well , conu told you , re Svengoolie
Yeah , it's a " Horror Host " show , showing anactor playing a " Mr. Ghoulie " type of characte , I guess Zacherly (Zachere ?) & Elvira are
the most famous examples of this kind of character/program , introducing horror/whatever movies .
In the Sixties/Seventies this type of show was often done , including local-only versions on just one station ~ I never seemed to see them all that much , if at all , in my teenage yeas Seventies, in my TV area (NYC TV stations .)
