ATTN: Bronies...please explain what Bronism is and point.
When I was 15, a 20 year old brony who was romantically interested was texting me (he seemed to be a little off in the head) and I immediately stopped responding to his texts (which were a little too incessant) after he told me he was a brony and I saw on Facebook pictures of brony stuff with My Little Pony in a thong and comments about "free candy" which freaked me out.
Can somebody please explain what Brony is and why I find it so creepy? Is it sexual in nature where the young men fantasize about ponies? Is it to do with gaming? I just want to know.

It's often not sexual, no. Like everything that finds its way to the Internet, though, there will be a minority that's into it like that.
Pretty much just a male fan of the latest My Little Pony series. Gender roles aside, I don't think it's too surprising except when it's a hardcore fan. Plenty of little girls watched Transformers, and plenty adult women watch crude, "boyish" shows like Archer and Family Guy.
It's just a fan of t-show, absolutely nothing sexual about it. Some bronies sexualize characters from the show, but that's a general fandom thing, and it's not abnormal at all. That guy is creepy just because he is creepy. You probably find it creepy because the justoposistion of ponies with guys or sexual content is not something you are used to.

The My Little Pony reference comes out at 2:40. I think he's about 26 here.

Chris Chan's involvement with MLP has absolutely nothing to do with the brony fandom which emerged later.

I used to have absolutely no problem with guys liking a show whose target audience was originally girls (no one raised a stink when I watched He-Man or Transformers as a kid and my brother sometimes watched the G1 MLP cartoons with me. But now I'm just incredibly sick of how so many comments left under Youtube videos are 90% people trolling bronies). Like Ashen's videos, I feel like I'm about the only person who leaves a comment that's actually about what's in his latest video instead of one long string of brony/anti-brony trolling. I want it to just stop REALLY bad! Or is it badly? Whatever. It's like having a stomach ache that never goes away, and I want to rip strand of hair out of my head and scream until my lungs explode!

A brony is a teen/adult fan of the cartoon My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It has a huge cult following on the internet, thanks to its good animation, witty writing, and relatable characters. It was a surprise success, though it was sort of designed to be a cartoon that anyone could sit down and watch without vomiting from the get-go.

Unfortunately, as with other things that have found success on the internet, the fanbase has its weird side, but so do various anime fandoms, the Harry Potter fandom, the Sonic fandom, the Kingdom Hearts fandom... It's just what happens when you have a bunch of net-savvy, socially-awkward teenagers who are a fan of something. Most bronies and members of these other fandoms aren't like this, but it's the minority of weirdos that ruin things for everyone else.
Anyway, this guy who was talking to you on Facebook, block him. It sounds like he's probably just trying to troll, but even then, I wouldn't put up with his BS. If you can find a way to block his cell number, do that too. If it gets really bad, and he tries stalking you, call the cops on him. Brony or not, this guy is bad news.

I'm a fan of Ashens, and I'm a fan of MLP as well. The video he posted where he destroyed all of those MLP figures did make me cringe a bit, but I'm not mad about it. Ponies just aren't his thing, and I'm perfectly OK with that. If anything, I don't like it when people try to shove bronyism down other people's throats. It's not everyone's thing, and in much the same way that I feel I'm entitled to be a fan, I feel others are just as entitled to NOT be fans. Different people have different tastes. Some people like Call of Duty, others like Team Fortress 2. Some people like MLP, others like Adventure Time. Some people like McDonalds, others like Subway.
It's too bad YouTube doesn't have a better comments moderation system. Of course, it's a huge site with tons of videos and comments being posted every day, so I can imagine it would be hard to hire a team of professional moderators.
