I absolutely love this series of an alternative world where it is about human survival against the walkers (Zombies, the Undead etc.)
Seems to have a lot of suspense due to the circumstances.

I'm not so into these zombie attacks. Unless theirs a lich, warlock, or necromancer involved, these zombie movies are all the same.

Well they are doing a "The Mummy" reboot...

Regardless, The Walking Dead is maybe the best horror TV show yet.

Watched the first series, think I watched it all and was quite disappointed with this. I felt it descended quite quickly into a bit of a soap opera almost.. Wasn't that bad but seemed quite focused on the human drama. Should maybe watch more before judging but I really wanted to see how they portrayed the downfall of humanity, the survival or failed attempts and that kind of thing. To be fair I still enjoyed it quite a bit.

Drama does not equal soap opera.

I got sick of many of the plot lines long before the writers got sick of centering episodes on them.

New fan here. I'm quite familiar with Zombie franchises.

The first half of Season 1 of The Walking Dead was the best zombie thing I'd ever seen at that point. Season 2 was mind numbingly boring. Season 3 picked up a great deal, and so far Season 4 has eclipsed just about everything else I've ever seen with zombies in it.

Roll on February!

Season 1: Best, even for only 6 episodes.
Season 2: Just okay, mainly because of a lack of action. The last 2 episodes sorta made up for it.
Season 3: A mix of seasons 1 and 2 for me, action with some character development, new characters and more shocking deaths.
Season 4: Same as above, but the midseason finale was full of win.

I second that. If there wasn't any drama, all you'd have is nothing but zombie killing, and there's already more than enough of that already.

Strangely, I really don't like graphic gore but still like The Walking Dead because I like the characters and want to see what happens to them. I don't get the wallowing in the gore that so many fans seem to be so into. I sometimes watch The Talking Dead and when they focus on the zombies that were killed during the just run episode I turn down the sound and do something else until they're done.

I think the best part of the show is that no one is particularly safe from dying.

Well, I think it's safe to say Rick will probably live to the end of the series.

I wanna bet Daryl and Carl will too. The former, being the most popular character on the show.
