The Skywalker Paradigm or...
The Good Guys Don't Always Wear White
What if Vader is actually the good guy? And Luke, well, isn't. Not in fan fiction, but in the movies themselves?
For anyone who enjoys plot twists and movie analysis, check this one out: http://ammonra.org/skywalkerparadigm/
I'll try to summarize the concept, but it's complicated: The essence of the Skywalker Paradigm theory is that the original Star Wars trilogy films (Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, & Return of the Jedi) are not about a rebellion but a counter-rebellion.
As Episode IV "Star Wars: A New Hope" begins, a first rebellion (anti-Jedi) has already happened about 20 years prior: the Old Republic which was a Jedi-ruled regime was deposed, and this is now a counter-rebellion where the remaining Jedi forces with their Rebel Alliance are trying to regain power from the now-ruling Galactic Empire. Therefore, the perceived sides of good and evil are reversed.
Vader is the Royal head of the Empire and is trying to stop Tarkin from developing the Death Star. He can't do it directly or runs risk of exposure, so he is working with his daughter, Princess Leia to accomplish the destruction.
Vader is actually the true hero of history in the Star Wars universe. Luke goes a bit berserko after eating "rootleaf" shrooms served up by a short, green forest gnome of questionable origin.
Either way, it's very entertaining. Just listen to the call near the bottom of the first page.
There used to be videos of his presentation posted, and they were hilarious. Not sure if they're still around the web somewhere.
Edited Subject line due to clipping.

That is a well-done video. But it is a parody.
The Skywalker Paradigm is not a parody or spoof.
The premise of Eggers' theory is that George Lucas had the original intent of telling this story or something similar. Maybe it is satire and Eggers isn't serious, but even if it is satire, he's making some pretty amazing observations, in my opinion.
There are places in the story that just don't make sense otherwise. They could happen the way the movies are traditionally interpreted, but listen to that call on the first page, and you'll get a sense of the astonishing coincidences that have to be taking place in order for the other story line to hold up.
