... and I star in the best new comic book show of the year!

I think The Flash is really good. I gotta say, I enjoyed is much more than any of the episodes of Gotham so far (I haven't given up on that show yet).

I like the optimistic, light, idealistic, naive, characterization of TV Barry. He seems like a cross between comic book Barry and Wally West. I thought the special effects were done nicely as well.

I also like the show's explanation for meta-humans. It's a lot like what they did in an old game called Freedom Force (great game, can be had for cheap on steam).

Lastly, the show had some pretty cool references too. Grodd's open cage gave me tingles, and the fact that they did Barry's tests at Farris Air gives me hope that we could get some Brave & Bold action going in the future... or maybe even see some Hard Travelin' Heroes!

I too thought the pilot of The Flash was brilliant. I'm looking forward to more! :)

Well, after episode 2, I like it even better!! !! !

The burning building/rescue sequence in the opening was really awesome. Flash is definitely a superhero!

I also liked the relationship/character development between detective West and Barry in the episode.

Plus, we get another super-shocker of an ending!

What's not to love? :D

I agree. It's eventual that Iris will find out about Barry, like she did in the comics.

Looking forward to more! :D

^^^ Yeah, I liked the way Barry spilled his guts to Iris in the fraction of a second it took her to dump a sugar packet in her coffee.

I think Eddie Thawne is definitely gonna turn out to be a villain too. He's already a douche--taking credit for the Flash's exploits.

So, I just had to give this thread a bump to gush a bit about the mid-season finale...

Without getting too spoilery... I really liked the show's take on 'the man in the yellow suit' (the reverse flash).

It seems like they're going to do some variation on the whole Flashpoint storyline from the comics. It should be really cool. I'm happy that Geoff Johns is writing//producing on the show. He's next to Scott Snyder as one of the most talented comic writers today...

The sfx for Firestorm were also pretty great... I can't wait to see how he and Caitlin Snow reconcile their relationship... I have to think she's going to become Killer Frost soon.

Also, I thought the recent crossovers between Flash and Arrow were really good. There definitely a 'world's finest' vibe going on there with idealistic Flash/Barry clashing ethically with the dark and ruthless Arrow/Ollie.

And, the Flash vs Arrow fight scene gave me a geekgasm!
