Hi, does anyone else think that Sheldon and Amy should NEVER consummate their relationship? I think they should become asexual because there's no ace representation on TV.

The trouble with that: Amy is a sexual being. She wants to be with Sheldon "that way."

(I can't see why--but that's only my opinion)

Those dynamics are part of the reason why "Big Bang Theory" still garners good ratings.

I could understand your feelings, though. You want asexualism to be presented in a positive light.

As long as there is sexual tension in an unconsummated relationship, television programs like BBT will continue to attract an audience.

Besides, the actor who plays Sheldon is gay, and the actress who plays Amy is in a committed heterosexual relationship. Those of us who see actors acting out a script instead of people behaving in real-life situations would likely lose all interest in the show, entirely due to a critical loss of "Suspension of Disbelief".
