I'm on episode 2 of Parenthood, and I saw a Max meltdown at school where he hurt another child who bullied him for his Aspie traits. He is 8 as of the ones I've seen.

Previously, I'd heard from people including my mom, that Max's portrayal of Asperger's wasn't realistic. Personally, I find this to be somewhat untrue. It is true that his "issues" are played down a lot from real life, but that's probably (as far as I can tell from myself) because a real meltdown can be extremely violent with swearing and other behavior not suitable for tv.

What'd'ya think?
