Best Firefly Character

Firefly is probably one of the best cancelled shows on TV (right around there with Freaks and Geeks IMO). My favs were always River (because her unpredictable character) and Jaynne. What were yours?

PS: I used all their full names so only true Firefly fans can tell them apart

I think with that cast chemistry, the whole is greater than the sum. I had to vote Jayne just picking one.

Same here. They honestly work better as a group, and the great thing about Firefly it doesn't really have much of a "spotlight" on any character except Serenity herself and her captain. All the characters are very diverse and well-rounded.

Which one was the Mechanic?
She was the sort of girl I wish I could meet and marry.

Mal was my favorite by far, I enjoyed the whole crew but Mal was on a whole different level of resonance with me.

I was just re-watching the series last night. My fav exchange:

River: They weren't cows inside. They were waiting to be, but they forgot. Now they see the sky and they remember what they are.
Mal: Is it bad that what she said made perfect sense to me?
