Of course there are a lot of ST fans here, but I haven't seen any discussion on specific episodes. So I'll suggest one of my favourites, from TNG: The Inner Light. This is the one where Picard is zapped by a beam from a probe that makes him live an entire lifetime as a guy named Kamin on a planet that died a thousand years ago. It's a beautiful story, in which Picard gets to experience the family life he's never allowed himself to live, the joys of becoming a father and a grandfather, as well as the pain of losing the woman who shared it all with him. Also, the flute melody Picard learns during that time for some reason brings tears to my eyes, especially when he plays it with the piano accompaniment in a later episode.

Of course, since I'm a huge Barclay fan, I've got to mention another episode: The Nth Degree. I like this one because it gives Barclay a chance to become the kind of man he's always wanted to be, if only for a little while--like the kind of man I wish I could be (just not to that same degree).

Anyway, those are just a couple of my favourites. There are a lot more, from all of the different series (except Enterprise--I never really developed much of an interest in that one).

It's kinda hard to pick just one to be a favorite, these are TNG episodes that I had liked most for their dramatic storylines

Relics
The Offspring
Thine Own Self
The Inner Light

A videoclip for TNG fans :)

I hope is ok to put the link here

But if I have no other choice than pick just one, it will be The Offspring

I can't believe a Voyager episode is my favourite. It's the one where the ship is captured by the gravity of a planet where time is sped up, they go from medieval to high-tech in a few days. Damn fine science fiction.

All Borg episodes. They are the only lifeforms that make any real sense and should assimilate everything.

I also like the episodes that featured the Borg.

The one that springs to mind (I don't know any titles) is where everyone else on Voyager has to go into suspended animation and Seven of Nine is left to babysit the ship on her own.

I'm glad to mentioned that one. Spock's Brain get's (rightly) criticized as campy, but think it's a really fun episode. It was actually the first TOS episode I saw and I didn't think it was terrible at all.

TOS: Balance of Terror (Close second: A Piece of the Action)
TNG: The Best of Both Worlds, Part I (Part II wimped out, IMHO)
DS9: Move Along Home
Voyager was kind of ho-hum to me, and I never really got into Enterprise.
Movies:
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Star Trek: First Contact
