who was the guy from Paycheck? (you know, where the one guy was working on a device to see the future, and the corporation he was building it for erased his memory when he was finished...)

I'd vote for him because he didn't have all those fancy gadgets, he worked simply with a bunch of random everyday items and the power of foresight.
