Anybody watch this game show? I have really gotten into it. I've been watching both the Richard Dawson and Steve Harvey versions. I like the show for the trivia knowledge and Steve's jokes.

My GF and I play while watching it.

When the question is asked we will both say the first thing that comes to our mind, sometimes they are silly, but we have fun.

Sometimes it brings up further discussion to an answer one of us gave, which allows us to talk about something that isn't on my special interest list.

Sometimes it gets really funny with Steve Harvey - if you look on youtube for family feud best answers ever, etc. sometimes the contenstens say stuff that Steve just can't control his laughter its funny.

The Dawson and Harvey versions are the best. I never got to see much of Louie Anderson's or Richard Karn's versions, and John O'Hurley was good. Ray Combs' era was good, but way too difficult to watch considering his personal problems just before he died.

The original Dawson run's (1976-85) claim to fame was that he would kiss the female contestants (for luck and love). He stopped doing it when he returned for the 1994-95 season, due to Ray Combs' firing. He married a contestant back in 1981, and had since fathered a daughter (he had several adult children from a previous marriage), and it was out of respect for his new wife and daughter.

Family Feud was also available for the Sega Genesis.

I watch the Steve Harvey version all the time with my husband and in-laws. We would play along and brainstorm answers, and I would occasionally surf YouTube just to watch clips of the worst Family Feud answers. I also watched the Richard Dawson version when I was younger.

I've seen those clips on 'worst game show answers' Youtube videos. Some of those are REALLY funny!

I don't watch Family Feud a lot, but I do sometimes. Steve Harvey is hilarious at times. However, unlike the Dawson and Combs versions, when Steve Harvey took over from John O'Hurley in 2010, the sexual innuendo went almost over the top. Almost every question has to do with "man," "woman," "bed," "sex," etc. I'm sure Richard Dawson is still spinning in his grave. We watch Inside Edition, or the news, more often.
Richard Dawson was a good host, as was Ray Combs. Too bad both have died (Ray died in the late 90s - I think?, Richard died in 2012). Notice that no one cared about Richard kissing contestants back then. Nowadays, there would be a bunch of controversy, investigations, lawsuits etc. if this happened.
I do have to tell you, many of the YouTube videos are hilarious.

We have Family Feud here in Australia the host is Grant Denyer he's really funny.

We have our version of The Chase but I prefer the British one The Host we have isn't as good as Bradley Walsh who is very funny.

We have Family Feud in the UK but it is called Family Fortunes. The reason why the UK changed it's name to that was because the original host Bob Monkhouse thought Family Feud sounded to aggressive. I know the British version is very much well known for the funny answers. There are even websites dedicated to the stupid answers. The most memorable episode was when Max Bygraves (the 2nd presenter of the British version) presented it. On one of the main rounds the question was Name a Famous Irishman and no one got an answer right. Then later on the final round Big Money/Fast Money someone kept giving the same answer to the questions.

Here is the list of the Presenters of the British Version

Bob Monkhouse (1980-1983)
Max Bygraves (1983-1985)
Les Dennis (1987-2002)
Andy Collins (2002)
Vernon Kay (2006-Present)

This is the famous British version episode

That's one of the problems I have with Harvey's version. If only they could combine what it is right with his and Dawson's versions and take out what is wrong with them.

Richard met his second wife, Gretchen Johnson, on the show in 1981. They married 10 years later and remained together until he died 3 years ago.
