Does anyone else here enjoy the new show "Raines" on NBC? The one starring Jeff Goldblum as a detective who sees his victims. It isn't a Sixth-Sense meets Law and Order show, either. I really enjoy it.

I am pretty sure you can watch the episodes in full online, and if you like them, iTunes has them on for download. I really hope NBC doesn't cancel this show, as it is AWESOME!

I don't trust NBC to keep it.

They'll just drop it to annoy us, and like the sheep we are, Hoi polloi will continue to watch them.

Dark side aside, I love this show. The most recent one was particularly moving.

I did enjoy the latest episode the best. I think they only made seven episodes, though, since the season pass on iTunes was only for $12.99...it is sad that they keep television shows like Are you Smarter then a 5th Grader or American Idol or The Amazing Race or The Apprentice that don't have any kind of story line whatsover but then cancel great television shows. Sometimes, I wish they weren't all about "giving people what they want" because what people want is crap.

I used to watch it, the first few episodes I mean, because it was on thursday, but I don't have time to watch it on friday and I rarely want to sit in front of the computer and watch episodes. I liked it a lot, but I thought there needed to be more story, poor Jeff was doing the best he could with the material, but I think the writing just wasn't complex or interesting enough. I love Jeff Goldblum though, he's the greatest.

I still prefer Medium over Raines though.

I freaking love Raines! Well it does help that I like Jeff Goldblum too. I really hope it doesn't get cancelled.

I know. If shows like "Are You Smarter Then a Fifth Grader" get to stay on the air, then RAINES ought to as well. I really liked the last episode. And I really liked the first episode when you figure out he's talking to his DEAD partner. It was well done, I thought. And I really like how it is filmed. Very fun to watch.

I saw last night's episode about the judge's girlfriend.
This show is the s**ts, mainly because of Jeff Goldblum!

*pause*

Do you think in RL, Goldblum could be Aspie?

I've suspected it all along. That's why I'm so endeared to his acting style. 8)

I like it alright, and it's one of the shows my Tivo grabs for me, but I'm not blown away by it. I like Jeff Goldblum, but plot-wise I enjoy the Law & Order shows more. Other than his hallucinations and mild "Jeff Goldblum-isms" it just seems like a competent crime drama.
