Does Anyone Else Love WALL-E As A Whole Movie?
As someone who loves Pixar movies (with a few exceptions like Cars 2) one of the ones I think about the most is WALL-E. I mean it's not my favourite one I think it's my 5th or 6th maybe. I know that there are obviously a lot of people out there (both audiences and critics) that praise this movie as just as much I do but I'm learning now that some people are saying that only the first half of the movie is good on earth where there is no real dialogue and that the second half where they're on the Axiom is just OK or not so good because there is more dialogue and while I kinda understand why, I mean I guess I would be OK with there being no dialogue in a whole movie but I still really like this movie. I mean I don't love the first half more than the second half and vice versa I love it as a whole. Whatever problems I have with this movie are just tiny little nitpicking that don't distract too much. I mean I like this movie more that quite a few of the other Pixar movies that are probably considered better by others. I mean Up is probably considered better than WALL-E as it would probably outrank it on a couple of lists like say Clevver Movies or Watchmojo and I do like Up and understand why, but I find myself liking WALL-E more. I guess because I'm more of a Sci-Fi movie guy though it's not like I would put Titan AE over Up. Also I guess it made me feel a little more though that is strange seeing as how Up is the one that should have done that but I guess I feel more for an injured dying robot that an old man losing his wife, weird huh. Does anyone else think WALL-E is great as a whole? Does it deserve just as much praise if not more than something like Up? Would I be considered an idiot for saying the second half is just as good as the first half because I don't appreciate what the film "should have been"?
