Anybody else a fan? :D

For those who may need memories jogging - think British, 1960s, quirky-spy-spoof programme with Patrick Macnee (in his bowler hat and waving an umbrella about) and the ever lovely Diana Rigg.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Captain America... what? Oh, I get it, wrong Avengers. Sorry :P

Anyway, I do enjoy watching old episodes of The Avengers on TV whenever I can. Mostly because Diana Rigg looked pretty hot back then ;)

In all seriousness, though, it was a great show. Not so much the sequel, mind you, but the original was great. Patrick MacNee and Diana Rigg had a great on-screen relationship and it was pretty original, cutting edge stuff.

Thats why i started watching it - I stayed because its an amazing show. I love old TV , I always remember sitting watching sunday afternoon fodder like The Avengers , The invaders, man from uncle and Get Smart with my gran when I was small and the love of 60's TV has stayed with me ever since.

You dont see on screen dynamics like with Patrick MacNee and Diana Rigg in many other shows and lets face it Patrick MacNee was the man!

I posted a similar question and got some responses, so there are some old Avengers folks out there. I'm a bit obsessive about it-I have every episode from Honor Blackman to the new Avengers-which I liked-you just had to see it as different from the original and take it for what it was, besides Purdey wasn't bad. A fun series- I saw Dianna Rigg in a theatre production of Moliere's Misanthrope in Washington DC. Had to see what she looked like in the flesh-so to speak. Anyone else like the Honor Blackman role?

Yeah, bummer about the assassination thing, isn't it?

Gee, with a name like Mr. Sinister, I figured you'd be more of an X-Men fan... :)
