Yeah, I watched a couple of series of it when it was repeated in the late 1980's. I found it funny at the time, but I was a child then - I have not seen it as an adult, so don't know if I would find it as amusing.

It's cool that you've found something you enjoy though :D

Now that I think about it, I think Robin Williams may have AS!

Robin Williams is a genius, he`s probably a Aspie, it sure seems like it though.

With a name like Ork, the imaginary planet that he lives on should have no other people but people with AS living on it!

I remember watching it when it originally aired. I lived in Boulder, CO at that time and it was a hoot, making references to local spots and all. The house they used for the exteriors was just down the street and the PAR TAY school of Uni of Colo was a hot bed of hedonism.

SHAZBAT, everyone!

When me and my dad watches it, we laugh our self too death ( we`re both Aspies), but my mom really just think `s it`s just stupid (she`s not a Aspie)
It`s really good AS humor!

I remember it well. It was on for four seasons. Robin Williams was hysterically funny, but I'm not sure I see him as an Aspie, just extremely hyperactive. And if I had been old enough at the time to like girls, I would have had a major crush on Pam Dawber, who played Mindy.

Robin Williams is definitely ADHD! Just watch him in concert - you could shoot him up with about 500 ccs of Thorazine, he'd still be running up and down the stage, inventing characters at breakneck speed.

The first season of "Mork & Mindy" was the best, because after a while, they gave up trying to script Robin. They'd have lines for the others, then they'd just put in, "Mork reacts." Then they'd see how much they had to cut out to put in on TV.

The second season, they insisted he follow the script. It died.

Third season had some promise - they loosened up on the script and added Jonathan Winters - but it was a case of too little, too late... :(

I wonder why in the world someone even thought of that, then!

I used to watch that show! I'd watch it all the time, when I was four. I still watch it, from time to time. I believe that Mork is an Aspie, and he's also from another planet to start with.

Yes. Mork and Mindy was/is one the the best comedy series ever. Having re-watched loats of it not that long ago, in my opinion, it hasn't really dated at all. One episode would supply enough humour for a whole series of current day offerings.

It also has that element that I find truly inspired - in the midst of all the mayhem and slapstick, they'd suddenly make an incredibly serious point.

Hm. I just remembered? On Ork, emotion was banned?
