I'm new here but I'm not sure where to start. So why not with something relatable? My favorite shows are mostly cartoons: Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, and Bee and Puppycat. But I also watch some anime like One Punch Man, My Hero Academia, and Princess Jellyfish.

Do you watch any of these shows? If not what are your favorites?

Don't see that one too often. Maybe the most underappreciated show ever. Easily the most underappreciated sketch comedy. In my book at least.

I don't like many because I haven't seen many. Especially over the last 15 years. But I do have some.

All time favorites:

Trailer Park Boys
Mr. Show
Da Ali G Show
The Tom Green Show (from the MTV days, GOD I wish they were on video)
Derek
The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret
The Birthday Boys (kind of hit or miss but can't hate on anything Bob Odenkirk)

I sort of over did the survivalism shows, but for awhile Survivorman and Dual Survival (with Cody) were my favorites there.

Only drama I ever remember liking was Breaking Bad.

Oh, I bet! Have you watched the new ones on Netflix? It's called "w/Bob and David". Also, their little known movie, Run Ronnie Run! was f*****g hysterical if you've never seen it.

I don't have Netflix now, but I would like to see With Bob and David. Is it as good as the original series?

I have Run Ronnie Run, too. Parts of it are hilarious (Mandy Patinkin!), but I dislike that they tried adapting their comedy style to a typical Hollywood comedy structure. I know they felt they could do a better edit and better present what they shot, but unfortunately that didn't happen.

To say it was as good wouldn't be fair because it's such a high standard. It wasn't disappointing I'll put it that way. And it's clearly intended to be Mr.Show again, same format. I suspect if a season 2 comes out, it'll be better. As of now Netflix says they are unsure if they will renew it. With all the garbage on there they better...

I thought much higher of Run Ronnie Run! and didn't see it as formulaic as you did (and them as well). They certainly broke off into some skits, such as the gay conspiracy skit and Jack Black's "Just a little kick in the c****". There were a few others too. I thought it was great and couldn't figure out why they hated it. Not everything has to be off the beaten path stylistically to be good. I mean, in all honesty, their style is a modern Monty Python ripoff anyways. No one's ripped Python as much as Bob and David. I mean an American, 40 years after Python version that is.

Python's a good comparison, though I'll admit I prefer the Python show to their movies by far. So that may just be my taste--sketch shows adapted to movies are a hard sell for me. I'll admit it's been a while since I watched Run Ronnie Run and I probably would enjoy it more than I think if I watch it now. Something to watch this weekend :)

Do you also like The Kids in the Hall? They had some dull moments, but I probably love that show even more than Mr. Show. As an outsider in his early teens in rural PA, watching a bunch of guys in drag making fun of social norms was salvation.

^^ Gotta admit, I've seen it, but never watched it in depth, and not in many years. I remember it being a very dry humor though and not something my younger mind would have appreciated. And I could be forgetting alot. Maybe if it's on Netflix I'll watch it.

Skits adapted to full length movies in the SNL mold can be boring. But many of them were funny-ish, just not masterpieces. But Run Ronnie Run still had a very different disjointed-ness to it.
