I very rarely watch any shows at all but was at a friends and he wanted to continue watching Black Mirror. He had already watched the first 2 episodes, so we watched the 3rd, 4th, and 5th. It's not a continuing story so it didn't matter at all that I hadn't seen the first 2. Each episode is completely standalone with different characters, actors, stories etc. It's like a modern day version of The Twilight Zone or Outer Limits where the only sort-of running theme is information technology/futurism. Anyways, it was actually really quite well done and if you like shows like TWZ or OL then this new Netflix series is for you.

I love this show. You're spot on with the Twilight Zone comparison - this totally seems to be today's version of that.

My favorite episodes are San Junipero (S3E4), The Waldo Moment (S2E3), and Fifteen Million Merits (S1E2), in that order.

Come to think of it, I don't really consider myself a tech person at all, but all three of the best shows going right now seem to be tech shows (this, Mr. Robot, Rick and Morty)

I like this show. It does remind me of the Twilight Zone or Amazing stories, but with a running theme of technology.

I have been working my way slowly through this with my husband now for quite some time...

We're still not all the way through, but I've loved every episode.

I particularly found Fifteen Million Merits interesting, but that's because (aside from the issues people have with weight!) I couldn't help thinking that I would like to live that life. It was supposed to be a horrible vision of the future, and my husband said he'd hate it, but to me it sounded almost perfect!

Other favourites were The National Anthem and Playtest.

Playtest was the most recent one I watched, so we still have a few to go.

Let us know what you think about San Junipero - it's my favorite of the entire series, and it sounds like it's going to be one of the next two you watch, if you're going in order.

You've motivated me!

I have the night off work tomorrow night. Might see if he's free to sit down and work through one or two more episodes.

I haven't seen the Netflix episodes yet, but I watched all the original UK episodes.

Very gripping from the beginning; I highly recommend anyone go into the first episode completely blind. Fifteen Million Merits was my personal favorite.

I tho8thought it was pretty good but I liked the one with the cake package delivery and child porn one better.

Finally got around to watching San Junipero today.

Have to be honest, after hearing it was a favourite I felt it got off to a really slow start. I was watching it for quite a while thinking "Well, I hope it picks up soon because there's not a lot to it, yet".

Once it kicked in, I loved it. Just my kind of story. Very thought-provoking. That's my favourite so far.

such a brilliant and thought-provoking series, which makes me wonder why I haven't delved into any of Charlie Brooker's output other than Dead Set and his TVGoHome listings. it is one of the only series that at times I wished I hadn't watched however, as it is so psychologically disturbing that it's probably increased my anxiety by quite a bit. White Bear in particular might go down as the most screwed up hour of television I've ever seen, despite it being one of the best episodes too.
