Actors Who Have Died During the Making of a Film or TV Show

I know Tyrone Powers died while making the film "Solomon and Sheba" (he died in the ambulance, after having a heart attack, on-set).

John Ritter died while making "8 Simple Rules..." (some kind of heart thing - like, a valve pulled-away from the heart, or something; he was on-set, was rushed to the hospital; but, died when he got there).

Redd Foxx died of a fatal heart attack, while on-set of "The Royal Family".

Brandon Lee while making the movie The Crow during a scene using a prop gun, I have heard theorizing it may have been intentional somehow but the wikipedia says it was an accident.

Pete Duel while making Alias Smith and Jones. Suicide

Heath Ledger while making The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Accidental overdose.

I'm not sure if these count Campin_Cat, because they were not actually on the set.

Daisy Adair died in the Gone with the Wind fire, but she is not real. She's a character from Dead Like Me.

Brandon Lee was killed by an improperly prepared prop gun. The actor that pulled the trigger is still haunted by the memory. I don't like using the word "haunted" though.

The first one which always comes to my mind is 'The Twilight Zone Movie' helicopter crash which killed Vic Morrow and two child actors. Such a senseless tragedy.

Paul Walker died in a single car accident, which is ironic considering the parts he played in the Furious series of motion pictures.

There is also Bob Crane, aka Col. Robert Hogan, while doing summer stock, IIRC, shortly after CBS cancelled the Robert Crane Show. I won't get into the kinky details of his supposed murder.



(And yes, I'm still in a bitchy mood. I could still meltdown at any moment, after everything I did or touched this past weekend went ass-backwards, with the end result being me telling off a cop and getting a substantial fine.)

Jon-Eric Hexum shot himself in the head on set shooting blanks.

Oliver Reed died during the filming of Gladiator. They used doubles and some CGI trickery to finish his scenes.

Heather O Roarke died while they filmed Poltergeist III. That is why you don't see her face at the end of the movie because she had already died when they re shot the scene so they had to find someone to play that part but they didn't show her face because it wasn't Heather.
