I just watched this, and I think the lead character Newt Scamander is ND.

Reason
Rarely looks others in the eyes
Interacts with animals better/more than people
Awkward
Odd gait
Strong interest/focus
Collects animals

I also though this could be possible. I loved him as a character! He's so beautifully crafted - brilliant and sweet! :D My favourite character!

Yes, my favorite as well.

I found myself identifying with him, except I study plants not animals.

I identified him in many aspects, study of the natural world was just one of them.

He does have better hair than me :)

It was a good show, I wish it had been longer. I hope they continue to focus on this character.

I'm very excited to see it, but I hate going to theaters. The last movie I went to see was Guardians of the Galaxy, and I wish I'd waited. Theaters are so awful.

I will often retreat to a theater when I can't handle the outside world. It is dark and I am somewhat isolated, but the movies can be too much sometimes.
