I mostly watch anime on Netflix and sometimes Crunchyroll. Here's what I've been watching so far.

Fate Zero and Fate Unlimited Blade Works: The ufotable adaptation of one of the Fate routes and its prequel. The anime, voice acting, and story are all extremely well done and blow the Studio Deen adaptation out of the water. I highly recommend these two.

Magi the Labyrinth of Magic: Interesting little anime based on the Arabian Nights. It has a sequel series that I might tune into next.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Effectively a magical girl horror story that takes many of the things taken for granted in the genre and twists them for maximum creepiness value.

Little Witch Academia and its sequel LWA: The Enchanted Parade: This is one of the more surreal and fun ideas to come out of anime recently. It has all of the whimsy of the early Harry Potter books only just with young witches. The second movie is longer and the result of a Kickstarter campaign. I can't recommend this one enough.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Action series set in a fantasy world. While it does play to the usual tropes of its genre, they are executed well and I did enjoy it.

Most of the non-anime that I've watched consisted of the DC cartoons like Young Justice. There's also Star Wars: Rebels.

Anime is a term used mostly to describe animation from Japan i.e. things like Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z. If you have Netflix check out the shows I mentioned, they're all on there an Netflix has its own anime browsing section. Just as a note do NOT simply think of them as children's cartoons. Several of the titles I listed are quite violent. If that's is something you don't want to deal with, go with Little Witch Academia as it is a children's movie.

I tend to like stuff on Fox, Comedy Central, FX, and Adult Swim, such as:

The Venture Bros.
Family Guy
American Dad
Bob's Burgers
South Park
The Cleveland Show
The Simpsons
Sealab 2021
Harvey Birdman Attorney At Law
Archer

I am sure there are many others.

Here's my list:

'American Dad!'
'Animaniacs'
'Archer'
'Batman: The Animated Series'
'Beavis and Butthead'
'Family Guy'
'King of the Hill'
Looney Tunes shorts
Popeye shorts
'Robot Chicken'
'The Simpsons'
'South Park'
'Tom and Jerry' shorts

I'm also considering taking my screenwriting skills to cartoons along with possible voice acting work. I'd do both kids and adult (although I'm leaning more to the latter). It also helps that I have three cousins aged four and two and this would please them no end (especially if I were to offer my services to the folks behind 'Friendship is Magic', which my four year old cousin likes).

I highly recommend Steven Universe. Especially since you like Gravity Falls and Over The Garden Wall, because like those two, there's an ongoing plot and character development. So rare in cartoons nowadays. I love those three shows.

From 60's classics to Son of Z.

As a ventriloquist I like to play with my voice. I was lucky enough in the late 70's early 80's to write and act in a comedy radio weekly series. Those were the days of editing Reel to Reel tape with a razor blade.
