I have some very sad news to report to you all, especially those of you in England.

Apparently, Roy Walker (the original host of "Catchphrase" in England) had passed away about a month ago as a result of becoming a recluse.

However, I had searched on the Internet, and there have been no news stories regarding his death. His official website (http://www.roywalker.co.uk,) is apparently still up and running.

If this is a joke, who would write such a thing? Also, isn't it ironic that I just read about this around the same time I read that someone is trying to get us involved in a scam?

If he is gone, then that is very sad news, and I only wish he would have kept in mind to enjoy his life, especially at his age (66.)

Godspeed, Roy!

Of course, I know this is his last year, but I'm wondering, is Roy still alive or not?

Only Wikipedia seems to have this info. Other sites are less conclusive. Personally, unless someone actually goes out and checks obituaries, I doubt it. Things on Wikipedia are usually good info, but there's not a lot of corroborating evidence for this...

Until you can find out otherwise, assume that he is alive.

Well, I think it's ironic that I saw this at the same time we're discussing scams!

Of course, they are two different things!

The discussion on scams can be found under the topic, "What the hell is this?"

My mother saw Roy Walker in our local butcher's shop last year.

April 28 was the day he left us, apparently. If it is a joke, why would someone say that?

Why not? That's the question you should be asking....

Oh, I am sane! So, that goes to show you that I just can't trust everyone!
